NEWSPEAK:
"Parent female person"
ORIGINAL
MEANING: <Did
not exist - Each word had its meaning separately>
NEW
MEANING:
Mother.
As
a result of Bill 171 (Spring 2005), the Ontario government has
banned offensive words such as "mother" and
"father" in their government forms. How can anyone use
such terms! They offend the sensibility of people in
"alternative lifestyles".
Words
such as husband, wife, widow and widower have suffered a similar
fate.
Unfortunately,
in this case the Bill is not just changing words, but it imposes
the redistribution of some of our taxes to support people in
"alternative lifestyles" with pension and survival
benefits.
