ORIGINAL MEANING: A dancer from an exotic place

NEW MEANING: Stripper

It is not politically correct to use denigrating words for anything connected to sex behaviour. The word stripper is too direct, too real, too true. 

The newspeak version is more exotic and less "judgmental".
