WHAT
DEMONSTRATIONS?
Pro-life, pro-traditional marriage demonstrations in Ottawa have attracted
some (far less than deserved) media attention. For example the
annual "March For Life" organized by Campaign Life
Coalition (CLC) attracts a few thousand people each year and is
usually reported by some local media and sometimes is mentioned
by national media.
However,
a similar pro-life demonstration in Ontario in the late 1980's,
that attracted over twenty thousand people, was completely
ignored by the media and had no apparent effect on the members
of provincial government or on the other parties.
The FCP, as a political party, does not organize
"demonstrations", but seeks representation at Queen's
Park through the normal election process.
