WHAT IS A CONSTITUTION?

Democratic organizations normally have a written document, called a "Constitution" that describes the rules by which the organization operates. These are similar to the "by-laws" of a corporation.

The members of the organization, by virtue of becoming members, agree to uphold the Constitution.

The Family Coalition Constitution is available to our members on request and describes the objectives of the party, its composition and its rules.

The FCP (as well as other Ontario registered political parties) is additionally bound by the Ontario Election Act and other regulations (E.g. by Election Finances regulations that require it to disclose any donation to the party over $100, within two weeks of reception).
